Bus Line

Bus number 10 – To Dubrovnik old town and back

The bus number 10 departs from the Trgoviste station (200mt west of camping) in the direction of Dubrovnik old town every hour (or 30 minutes at times). The ticket is purchased directly on the bus from the driver. It costs 18 kn one way. The most convenient station for the old town is right at the entering road of Dubrovnik. The easiest way to find it is to remember that the bus number 10 would travel mostly on the D8 (coastal road), and as soon as it turns off this road (to the right – exit Dubrovnik) you may request getting off by ringing the bell. From this station you have a nice downhill 10 minute walk to the old town with the great views of the city walls.

In order to return to the camping with the bus number 10 take note that the returning station is not the same as the arriving one. In fact it is much simpler to return. When exiting the old town by the north exit point (there are only three exits: east, west , and north), look for the mountain top (north) and you will see the cable car. The south station for the cable car is the same as the bus number 10 station. The bus passes every hour (or 30 minutes at times). The last bus from this station passes at 23:50 workdays or 1:30 Saturday and Sunday. Since this bus goes to Cavtat (end station) make sure that you tell driver that you need a ticket to Mlini (second station in Mlini – Trgoviste) and not overpay your ride (18 kn again).

The best way to visit Dubrovnik. Not as frequent or as affordable as the bus but definitely worthwhile.
